5 minutes to help Glen Cove! Have your voice heard!

As many of you have heard, a non-Native solidarity group staged a successful protest at the offices of Bay Trails in Oakland yesterday morning. Bay Trails is a public office that manages bicycle trails around the San Francisco Bay Area. Unfortunately, they are also a substantial investor in the public development plan at the Ohlone sacred site at Glen Cove. The solidarity group demanded that Bay Trails divest their funds from GVRD and the City of Vallejo while the GVRD still plans destructive development on the 3500 year old burial site known as Sogorea Te.

We would like our networks to join theirs in putting pressure on Bay Trails. No desecration for recreation! There is no reason that paved bicycle trails have to be installed on top of a critical historical and cultural site! Please take a few minutes out of your day to call the Bay Trails personnel below to voice your opinion. The number of phone calls and letters they get can make all the difference! Call or write to them now!
