April 18th – Police say arrests will not happen… 6:19 Update From Glen Cove

Word was spread two hours ago that the Vallejo Police Department were going to arrest Wounded Knee and others at Glen Cove, as the GVRD showed up earlier and said that they were going to bring the police. I just spoke with the head policeman in charge, Lt. Salinas, and he assured me that the police were not going to arrest anyone. He said that he understood that there were both federal and international laws involved and the police would like to see this playout through the court system. Apparently, the GVRD received the same information because 30 minutes ago they met with occupiers at the site and agreed once again to have meetings sometime this week. The threat of arrest is off for now, but donations are still needed through the main website listed below, and people still need to keep up the pressure of calling and writing the city and GVRD.
