Elderly Meals Protest Ended Peacefully

PORCUPINE, SOUTH DAKOTA ~ For 34 days, Lakota activists protested Elder Abuse and other issues at the Porcupine Elderly Meals building, but were peacefully removed from the area early Wednesday morning.

No Elders were on scene during the removal. Activist Duane Martin Sr. has been released on a $500 dollar cash bond. His trial begins on May 11, and in the meanwhile as a condition for his release, he has been ordered to stay off Pine Ridge.
